Marvel's The Defenders season one review
THE DEFENDERS
In the The Defenders, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist work together to defeat a worldwide criminal organization, The Hand. It is like the Avengers but more realistic without all the insane explosions.
The first couple episodes are kind of slow as the series is trying to combine and tie all the characters into the story. They all have different agendas and motives but all of it led them to the same way. Personally, it gets more interesting after the third episode, where there are more fighting scenes and more mysteries unveiled.
I like the unforced jokes, some of it really gets me, and there is no nonsense trying too hard joke. I love the internal conflicts with the black sky, the Hand organization, it shows that even the greatest organization has their ups and downs, which not many movies had portrayed it so well. There are quite amount of plots that make me nervous and I like it. The camera work is terrific. The series is focused more on Daredevil, that is why you should see it before The Defenders, because he is the best!
I dislike the police team, and their scenes. It felt dragging and boring, but I think it is necessary because they are trying to portray real life, so heroes are obliged to laws too. However, the scenes are too long I felt like just fight already! Another thing that I dislike is the last battle in the last episode. It is dull and meh.
