Gifted - Non-Spoiler Review

Gifted starring Chris Evans as Frank Adler and McKenna Grace as Mary Adler. Mary was Frank's niece, who he must took care of when his sister died😭. Mary was a genius but lack of social skills. Frank wanted her to be a normal child but Frank's mum had a different idea.

 This movie was heartwarming, touching and sentimental. the camera work and visuals are simple but still effective due to its story line. Chris and Grace somehow have a strong chemistry together💪 and it was entertaining. Roberta played by Octavia Spencer was Mary's best friend. Mary spent plenty of time with her as Mary didn't has a friend within her age.

 The conflict was Mary's grandmother wanted to take her and train her as a child genius while Frank wanted her to be a normal child. It had a sense of realism because I'm sure this will happen in real life if we ever encountered a child genius😩. It has a couple of sad scenes that will make your tears drop, you can see there was a tension between Frank and his mum, and a strong relationship between Frank and Mary.

 However I feel the movie was a bit rush😰, it was like they were trying to pack all of the scenes in a short period, so it was like jumping one scene to another. I think it will be better it they slowed down and put more emotions in it.😀

In this movie you can see how Frank was being overprotective, scared that worse thing will happened to Mary, just like her sister.

Mary

This child genius struggled to live a normal life. McKenna Grace gave a genuine performance in this movie👍

Evelyn

 Evelyn, the grandmother is the antagonist, it can differ from your perspective. she was fine to me. she was like the passive evil grandmother😈.
